SMOOTH LIKE MARBLE

Helmut Lang silk blouse, Hollister pants, and Gucci shoes that was my mom's from 20 years ago
Spring break is here!! Today marks the first day of Spring break which I have been waiting for forever. The days before break starts, there's always so much going on which explains why I haven't been posting daily! Sorry guys! Anyways, here's an outfit that I wore a couple of days ago which I'm absolutely in love with. I've recently fallen in love with Helmut Lang and I literally couldn't take my eyes off of this shirt at the store. It has honestly been a long and hard journey (I'm not being dramatic, I swear) for me to get my hands on this shirt! When I first laid my eyes on this silk shirt, I saw that it was teared at the sleeves because the fabric was so thin and delicate. And, they only had that one shirt left! So, I obviously panicked. Then I basically went to three other stores until I finally found this shirt (on the same day)! See how much I would do and all the trouble I would go through for one shirt? Haha

Oh, and speaking of Spring break, has anyone watched Spring Breakers yet? It hit theaters a couple of days ago and I actually really want to go see it! I haven't read any ratings or reviews yet. But, I honestly can't think of a better way to start off Spring break than with this movie. I mean it's basically the embodiment of Spring break, but a little trashier maybe?

Tell me your thoughts on the movie if you have watched it! :)

Happy first day of Spring break!

THE LADY IN ME

Boutique shop dress, Alexander McQueen heels.

I usually wear clothes that are more fun/colorful/edgy/expressive - on a daily basis. But, recently I have been really liking the proper and elegant look. It's definitely a lot more lady-like, and occasionally I do feel like I need to get in touch with that side of me haha. And, collars are definitely proper. But instead of just having a simple white collar, what I love about this dress is that the white collar is encrusted with rhinestones. Another thing that I love is the chain belt which hangs loosely around the waistline. Belts are a way of highlighting your waist and even though this one doesn't completely cinch my waist, it works really well and I love it!

Once again, I bought this dress at a boutique shop. And I have to apologize for that because I know it's pretty hard to go out and find the exact same dress I'm wearing, but I'll definitely help anyone who wants to find a similar one! Don't be shy and message me :)

THE LIMELIGHT

Zara jacket, H&M skirt, and Miu Miu heels.
Friday nights are usually spent with my friends or family - the day I look forward to the most in a week. Not really a surprise, right? I had Italian food for dinner which was delicious. And just a sidenote, I'm not a picky eater. I'm satisfied easily :). To sum up my night, I would have to say that I had way too much chocolate. The restaurant was famous for it's iced chocolate drink, and I literally had a party in my mouth. The iced chocolate drink was rich, creamy, and had chocolate bits sprinkled in and lots of them...it was just sooo good. I love sugar, and I'm horrible at controlling myself when it comes to desserts, especially chocolate desserts.

But, since it's the weekend, it really doesn't matter how much you eat or what you eat! And, it's also the only time of the week where you can stay out late and sleep in a little the next morning. So, getting all dressed up for the night is essential! Glam your outfit up with sequins and glitter and you'll find yourself in the limelight!

p.s. see how much I love military style jackets?

NEW YORK CITY GIRL

Hey all, sorry I haven't posted in a couple of days! I've been busy with school but I'm graduating in exactly two and a half months...time really does fly! I've had a pretty good week so far. Actually, a really good week. I got accepted to Parsons The New School for Design in New York City! I honestly could not be happier because I have dreamed of going to that school since my freshman year. It's always been one of the top schools on my list. And, the Parsons alumni is incredible: Marc Jacobs, Jason Wu, Alexander Wang, Proenza Schouler, Anna Sui, Tom Ford, Prabal Gurung, Donna Karan, Derek Lam, etc. They're all amazing fashion designers who I aspire to be like...well not a designer. But I hope to pursue a career in the fashion industry.

Other than Parsons, I've applied to four other art schools, so five schools in total. I've already been accepted to three: Otis College of Art and Design, School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and Parsons now :)! I'm still waiting on two more schools, and I really hope that I'll hear good news from them as well! Most likely I'll end up going to Parsons, but for now, I'm not completely sure yet! The problem is that I'm in love with all of my schools, so it will still be a tough decision to make...

And, my outfit of the day. Ruffles are a nice touch, they add femininity and a little flair to my jacket.

Boutique shop shirt, H&M skirt, So Nice jacket, and Tory Burch heels.
Cut-outs are so fun and my shirt reveals a little skin, but not too much!

SUPERMODELS DO THE "HARLEM SHAKE"

The "Harlem Shake" is currently the "it" dance, so I had to share this video with all of you guys! My favorite "Harlem Shake" video by far with model of the moment, Cara Delevingne, Jourdan Dunn, and Rosie Tapner backstage at Topshop Unique AW13 fashion show. I love their crazy and quirky personalities! Can you do the "Harlem Shake" in style?

"YOU LOOK LIKE YOU'RE WEARING A GARDEN."

Happy Thursday! I really couldn't be happier that the week is almost over. I've been counting down the hours until the weekend, and it's finally here! Tomorrow, my friends and I are throwing a surprise birthday dinner for our friend. So, I'm hoping that will turn out amazing, because I've honestly never thrown a surprise party before. I'm an amateur surprise party throw-er! I'm keeping my fingers crossed until tomorrow night, 7:30. Okay now, moving on to my outfit of the day. The first thing my guy friend said to me today was, "you look like you're wearing a garden." Yes, that's all he said! I didn't even get a proper "hey." But anyways, it's always funny hearing how guys feel about my outfit. I think sometimes my outfits drive the opposite sex away from me, literally. On the other hand, my friend who's a girl simply said "you look like Spring, I love it!" That's more like what I was going for + generally, I like to dress in colors.

Just wanted to share with you guys the comments I got from my friends today. What do you think about my outfit?

H&M jacket, H&M skirt, TAS ballet flats, and wedges.
Both pairs of shoes go well with my outfit and the colors are so bright and striking! I wore the ballet flats today because I had school, and I almost always find myself running up the stairs to my English class, but always ending up late anyways. I'm not very talented at running in heels, so I opted for flats :)

STUDS ON STUDS ON STUDS

I was feeling a little "rocker chic" today and so I put together this outfit. At least, this is my definition of "rocker chic." :) Anyways, when I woke up this morning, the first thing I did was open my window and stick one arm outside (my daily routine). This is how I check the weather every morning, instead of using the weather app on my iPhone. Yes, I'm lazy or just un-tech savvy. With one arm dangling outside my windowsill, I felt a cold breeze so I decided to wear my leather jacket. But, I eventually ditched my jacket around noon. What I love about this jacket is that it's not just a simple leather jacket. It gives off a classy feel with the Chanel-esque fabric which makes up the majority of the jacket, except for the sleeves which are the only leather parts. And of course, the studs on my jacket and boots that make up my "rocker chic" look!

Studs on studs on studs, literally! For Valentino lovers (I'm one!), these shoes are perfect since studs are the trend for Valentino at the moment. And, as a 17-year-old girl in her last year of high school, I obviously can't afford a closet full of designer shoes, so I'm always on the lookout for similar shoes at a lower price but still stylish and of good quality!

I'm wearing a jacket from Zara, a dress from Ismael, and high heel ankle boots from Zara!

I hope you got to see a different side of me today, style-wise :)

FLIRTY FLORAL

With Spring being just around the corner, it's time to bring out the colors! What better way to welcome Spring than with floral prints and blush hues. They're flirty and feminine!

I'm wearing a sweater from Forever 21, a skirt from Forever 21, and ballet flats from Steve Madden.

RED LEATHER

Lately, the weather's been so unpredictable! Today wasn't really cold, but it was a little windy.

Anyways, here's my outfit of the day! I'm still very much in love with my red leather skirt and I've been in love with it since the day I saw it in the store - definitely love at first sight.

I'm wearing a headband from Alexandre de Paris with a bow on the side, a shirt from H&M, a vest from LINDA, a skirt from Diane von Furstenberg, and high heel ankle boots from Gucci

MILITARY INSPIRED

Military inspired outfits are a trend that I never get tired of. This style is edgy and a little masculine!

I'm wearing a jacket from Zara, a shirt from Mango, a skirt from a boutique shop, and boots from Car Shoe.

SUNDAY BRUNCH READY

I chose to go with a more feminine and ballerina-esque outfit today for brunch with my family!

I'm wearing a cardigan from Hollister, a shirt from Banana Republic, a sequin skirt and ballet flats from Zara.

Happy Sunday!

FIRST SIGNS OF SPRING

Yesterday was a sunny day and it was perfect for an afternoon stroll. The first signs of Spring, finally! Born in Taipei city, it makes sense that I'm more of a "Spring" person than a "Winter" person, since it never gets too cold in Taipei. But, that doesn't mean I don't love Winter. Winter is the perfect time for fur (faux fur that is, I'm an animal lover) coats.

Anyways, to welcome Spring, I paired my outfit with a yellow Balenciaga handbag! A pop of color is always fun and it definitely brightens up my outfit! And I also wore a faux fur vest because it was still a little chilly, even with the sunshine.

I'm wearing leggings from Uniqlo, a sweater with cutouts from Pinko, high heel boots from CĂ©line, and a faux fur vest from a boutique shop.

I hope you guys are having a relaxing weekend!
